From 2022 to 2023, the total long-term capacity of major covid-19 vaccine manufacturers in the world may exceed 27 billion doses. Among them, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson and Modena may have a production capacity of 3 billion agents, accounting for 11% of the total global production capacity. Domestic vaccines account for about 46% of the total global production capacity, of which China's biological long-term production capacity is the highest, about 8 billion doses, accounting for 64% of the domestic vaccine production capacity. Although the vaccine production capacity is sufficient, only 60% of the world's population has been vaccinated with at least one dose of vaccine. Compared with the vaccine coverage of more than 70% in major developed countries, more than 90% of the population in low-income countries have not been vaccinated. The resistance to covid-19 epidemic caused by Omicron mutant strain depends on the promotion and popularization of enhanced vaccination. The global vaccination rate of enhanced vaccination is only 11%, which is far from controlling the spread of the epidemic.
