Special description and independent opinions on external guarantee
In accordance with laws, regulations and relevant regulatory requirements, China Construction Bank Corporation(601939) (hereinafter referred to as “the bank”) independent directors, Mr. M C McCarthy, Mr. Zhong jianian, Mr. Graeme Wheeler, Mr. Michelle Madeleine, Mr. William Cohen and Mr. Liang Jinsong, based on the principles of fairness, fairness and objectivity, made the following explanations on the external guarantee of the bank:
The bank’s external guarantee business is approved by the regulatory authority and belongs to one of the bank’s normal businesses. The bank has formulated specific management measures, operation procedures and approval procedures for the risk of guarantee business, and carried out relevant business accordingly. The bank’s guarantee business is mainly letter of guarantee. As of December 31, 2021, the guarantee balance of letter of guarantee issued by China Construction Bank Corporation(601939) group is about RMB 1289.6 billion.
