Event overview: on March 11, 2022, the fifth session of the 13th National People’s Congress closed successfully. During the two sessions, Tan Jianfeng, member of the National Committee of the Chinese people’s Political Consultative Conference, President of the fifth space information technology research institute and honorary president of Shanghai Information Security Industry Association, pointed out the need to strengthen the supervision of the meta universe market and prevent new digital economy risks. It is suggested to study policies in advance and lay out industry supervision; Kong FaLong, deputy to the National People’s Congress and Secretary of the Party committee and chairman of Jiangxi Rural Credit Cooperatives Federation, suggested the establishment of a national “yuanuniverse” R & D institution to increase funds, talents and incentive support; Wan Jie, member of the CPPCC National Committee and chairman of Yachang culture group, pointed out that the yuan universe industry should be brought into the supervision scope of relevant government departments. We believe that the above proposal is expected to promote the country to speed up the formulation of meta universe industrial planning, establish industry benchmarks, promote the commercialization, industrialization and ecology of meta universe, and guide China’s meta universe industry from the macro level.
Accelerating the research of key technologies is the “first priority” for the development of metauniverse. Zhang Ying, member of the CPPCC National Committee and deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of economy and information technology, said that at present, yuanuniverse is becoming an important track driving the development of global digital economy and digital technology innovation. However, China is still a catch-up in key technologies, and there is a “neck sticking” problem in some fields. It is suggested to speed up the tackling of key technologies and focus on key core technologies such as new generation communication, intelligent interaction, computing chip, digital tools and new sensor technology; In the proposal on the development of “meta universe” technology, the Central Committee of the Democratic League of China suggested to strengthen directional guidance at the technical level and promote R & D as soon as possible in terms of relevant core devices and key software and hardware technologies of the meta universe. We believe that the technology represented by chip computing, meta universe operating system and rendering engine is still in high speed iteration. The above planning is beneficial to accelerate the investment of the underlying technology layout and R & D resources from the medium enterprise level, and ensure the advanced technology of the yuan universe.
Improving relevant applications is the long-term thinking of the two sessions on the meta universe. We believe that, on the one hand, the current development of the meta universe needs legal protection in the aspects of digital asset right confirmation, transaction and privacy protection; On the other hand, we need to promote the application of emerging digital technologies such as digital twins in manufacturing, service and other industries.
