Organosilicon refers to a large class of compounds containing carbon silicon bonds and at least one organic group directly connected to silicon atoms.
Silicone materials in a narrow sense mainly refer to polysiloxane, which accounts for more than 90% of the total amount. Polysiloxane can be further processed into downstream deep-processing products such as silicone rubber, silicone oil and silicone resin through different reactions.
Due to its excellent performance of high temperature resistance, weather resistance, electrical insulation and ground surface tension, it has been widely used in construction, electronic and electrical, textile, automobile, machinery, leather, papermaking, chemical, light industry, medicine and medical treatment, military industry and other industries. It has formed more than 8000 varieties, known as “industrial monosodium glutamate”.
Since 2021, the price of organosilicon (DMC) has been rising from 24000 yuan / ton at the beginning of the year to 65000 yuan / ton in September. However, it entered a rapid decline period in October, but there is at least 50% increase compared with the level in 2020.
