In November 2021, the Chinese market shipped 35.252 million mobile phones, with a year-on-year increase of 19.2%, including 28.967 million 5g mobile phones, with a year-on-year increase of 43.9%, accounting for 82.2% of the mobile phone shipments in the same period.
From January to November 2021, the total shipments of mobile phones in the Chinese market totaled 317 million, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%, including 239 million 5g mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 65.3%, accounting for 75.3% of the mobile phone shipments in the same period.
In November 2021, 47 new mobile phone models were listed in China, with a year-on-year increase of 34.3%, including 15 5g mobile phones, with a year-on-year decrease of 16.7%, accounting for 31.9% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.
From January to November 2021, there were 427 new models on the market, with a year-on-year increase of 3.1%, including 203 5g mobile phones, with a year-on-year increase of 2.0%, accounting for 47.5% of the number of new models on the market in the same period.
2、 Composition of Chinese and foreign brands in China's mobile phone market
In November 2021, the shipment of domestic brand mobile phones was 28.041 million, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%, accounting for 79.5% of the mobile phone shipment in the same period; 43 new models were listed, with a year-on-year increase of 53.6%, accounting for 91.5% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.
From January to November 2021, the shipment volume of domestic brand mobile phones totaled 275 million, with a year-on-year increase of 10.5%, accounting for 86.7% of the mobile phone shipment volume in the same period; 388 new models were listed, with a year-on-year increase of 5.4%, accounting for 90.9% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.
3、 Development of smart phones in China
In November 2021, the shipment of smart phones was 34.841 million, a year-on-year increase of 25.7%, accounting for 98.8% of the mobile phone shipment in the same period. From January to November 2021, the shipment of smart phones was 310 million, with a year-on-year increase of 14.7%, accounting for 97.7% of the mobile phone shipment in the same period.
In November 2021, there were 33 new models of smart phones on the market, with a year-on-year increase of 13.8%, accounting for 70.2% of the number of new models on the market in the same period. From January to November 2021, 358 new models of smart phones were listed, with a year-on-year increase of 11.9%, accounting for 83.8% of the number of new models listed in the same period.
