Event: on February 17, China Mobile announced the bid winning results of package 8 and package 13 of the first batch of PC server centralized procurement projects from 2021 to 2022, Digital China Group Co.Ltd(000034) , Changjiang computing, Huanghe information industry, Tsinghua Tongfang Co.Ltd(600100) , Baode computing and Xiangjiang Kunpeng.
China Mobile will open two more packages for centralized purchase of PC servers, and Kunpeng chip servers account for 16.55%. It is understood that China Mobile will purchase about 163692 PC servers in the first batch of centralized purchase of PC servers from 2021 to 2022. The project is divided into 16 bid packages. So far, China Mobile has publicized the bid winning results of package 1 ~ 3, package 6 ~ 8, package 9 ~ 13 and package 15. The bid winning results of packages 4, 5, 14 and 16 were not publicized. Both package 8 and package 13 are Kunpeng chip servers, with a total of 27083 units, accounting for 16.55% of the overall bidding volume. Among them, Digital China Group Co.Ltd(000034) won 22.22% of the bid in package 8, with an amount of 527 million yuan (before tax).
Haiguang chips accounted for 10.49%, and domestic chip servers accounted for 27.03%. Previously, on November 16, 2021, China Mobile announced the bid winning results of package 3, package 7, package 11 and package 12, Inspur Electronic Information Industry Co.Ltd(000977) , Ziguang Huashan technology, Zhongke controllable and Zte Corporation(000063) , with a total of 17164 units, all of which are haiguang chip servers, accounting for 10.49% of the overall bidding volume. Therefore, domestic chip servers using Kunpeng and haiguang chips account for 27.03% of the total bidding volume.
Kunpeng server bidding has been implemented one after another, and the industrial chain is expected to recover. Since telecom operators began bidding for Kunpeng servers in 2020, affected by the shortage of Huawei Kunpeng chips, the overall supply is in a tight state. On December 29, 2021, Yunnan Nantian Electronics Information Co.Ltd(000948) announced that it had won the bid for ABC PC server project of 1.487 billion yuan, and on January 5, 2022, Digital China Information Service Company Ltd(000555) won the bid for Bank of communications Kunpeng PC server project of about 87.5907 million yuan. Recently, the bidding project of PC server based on Kunpeng chip continues to land, indicating that Kunpeng industrial chain is expected to usher in recovery in 2022.
