Annex: Interpretation of relevant shipping indicators
1. Traffic volume: refers to the quantity of goods transported by the ship;
2. Turnover: refers to the product of the freight volume transported by the ship and the corresponding transportation distance;
3. Operation rate: refers to the percentage of the time the ship is engaged in operation in a certain calendar period in the total voyage time; 4. Navigation rate: refers to the percentage of ship navigation time in operation time within a certain calendar period;
5. Deadweight utilization rate: refers to the ratio of the converted turnover completed by the ship to its tonnage in nautical miles during the reporting period;
6. Unit fuel consumption: refers to the amount of fuel consumed by the ship per ship tonnage nautical mile during the reporting period; 7. Operation time: refers to the time in the total voyage of the ship when the technical condition is in good condition and can be engaged in cargo transportation. It is equal to the total time of the ship minus the non operation time when the ship can not be engaged in production (such as the navigation time for repair, waiting for repair and entering and leaving the shipyard for repair, waiting for scrapping, overhaul and furnace cleaning time outside the voyage);
8. Sailing time: refers to the sailing time from the time when the ship leaves the port, wharf or anchorage and the buoy releases the last cable to the time when the buoy brings the first cable to the wharf or anchorage at the port;
9. Berthing time: refers to the total berthing time of the ship in the port or on the way for various reasons during transportation and production, including productive, non productive and other reasons.
