The Institute of security of the Chinese Academy of information and communications recently organized a seminar on the security of the new universe. Experts from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing University of technology, Peking University, China United Network Communications Limited(600050) Smart City Research Institute, China Electronic Technology Standardization Research Institute, Alibaba (China) Co., Ltd., Tencent cloud computing (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Beijing Baidu Netcom Technology Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.
The seminar focused on the current situation and development trend of metauniverse, the main security risks and regulatory challenges brought by metauniverse. Experts attending the meeting generally believed that: first, metauniverse is a new Internet interaction mode, which will bring open and cooperative economic form and business model; Second, the meta universe is an extremely complex, highly digital, virtual and real Internet form. It faces not only the risks of traditional data security, network security and content security, but also the challenges of new network attacks and ethical risks. Third, metauniverse is still in the primary stage of industry development, but the development space is huge, and risk response measures should be deployed in advance.
In this regard, the participating experts put forward the following suggestions: first, closely track and master the development of metauniverse technology, deeply study the characteristics of metauniverse core technology, and timely find and predict risk points; Second, plan and layout the meta universe safety standard system, and start the development of safety standards around the technical characteristics and typical application scenarios of the meta universe; Third, combine the existing safety protection and governance work foundation, and orderly promote the safe ecological construction of the meta universe.
