The “cloud recruitment Exhibition” of the Fifth China International Fair was held, and German “specialized and new” small and medium-sized enterprises met to enter the fair

On January 25, the China International Import Expo Bureau and the German Federation of overseas chambers of Commerce jointly held the “cloud Recruitment” German online promotion conference of the Fifth China International Import Expo. Ma Fengmin, chief financial officer of China International Import Expo Bureau, and Xu Jingbo, vice president of Greater China of German overseas chamber of Commerce, signed the exhibition contract online.

Ma Fengmin said that Germany is one of the important exhibitors of the fair. A total of 176 German enterprises participated in the fourth fair, with a total exhibition area of 41000 square meters and an intended turnover of US $16.9 billion. Germany has nearly half of the world’s “invisible champions” in the fields of medical technology, environment, special equipment, chemical industry and electronic equipment.

“In the fourth China International Fair, German enterprises brought many cutting-edge products and technologies that attracted much attention. For example, the intelligent ground charging system pioneered by automobile enterprise Schunk GmbH was released on the new platform of China International Fair.” Ma Fengmin said, “welcome the German Chamber of Commerce to give full play to its advantages and bring more German small and medium-sized enterprises with ‘specialized and special new’ products to the stage of the Expo.”

Qiu Yuanling, commercial counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Germany, said that in recent years, the development momentum of China Germany economic and trade cooperation has been good. Under the situation of general decline in Global trade, the volume of bilateral trade between China and Germany showed a contrarian growth in 2021, accounting for 30% of the total trade between China and Europe, forming a new situation of economic and trade cooperation with complementary advantages, prominent characteristics and mutual benefit and win-win results. In the future, China and Germany will also carry out exchanges in more fields such as climate protection and clean energy, actively explore and constantly explore new potential for cooperation.

“The German Chamber of commerce is very honored to be one of the official exhibition organizations of the Expo for four consecutive years and has made good achievements.” Xu Jingbo said, “in order to help German enterprises fully understand the Chinese market, the chamber of Commerce released a new version of the industry report at the beginning of 2022, hoping that more German enterprises will understand the huge opportunities brought by the Chinese market and grasp the valuable business opportunities brought by entering the Expo.” It is revealed that at present, many German small and medium-sized enterprises have expressed strong interest in participating in the Expo, and the chamber of Commerce has signed the exhibition contract of the fifth Expo.

Federal states such as Baden Wurttemberg and Bavaria and Bremen Economic Promotion Bureau have participated in the Expo for several consecutive times. Representatives of various states showed the characteristics of various federal states at the Expo and expressed the desire of German enterprises to strengthen cooperation with Chinese enterprises through the Expo platform.

At the meeting, Li Fangfei, Asia Pacific Communication Director of Evonik group, a leader in German chemical industry, said that the group had determined to participate in the Fifth China International Fair and planned to display a series of innovative, environmental friendly and sustainable material solutions based on the goal of “double carbon”.
