Among them, “binary cross matching” refers to the hybridization between two varieties; “Three line cross matching” refers to the hybridization between three strains with different characteristics. Strain refers to the population with obvious characteristics, traits and stable heredity. A variety can have multiple strains. The reason is that according to different breeding objectives, a variety can breed populations with different characteristics and form different lines, so “three line hybridization” may be binary hybridization or ternary hybridization.
