On May 23, Shanghai Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group Co.Ltd(600648) Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Cssc Holdings Limited(600150) Group Co., Ltd., completed three production nodes: one ship delivery and two ships undocking, which ran out of the “acceleration” and entered the “fast lane”. So far, the three major shipbuilding enterprises in Shanghai under China Cssc Holdings Limited(600150) group, Jiangnan Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd., Hudong Zhonghua shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group Co.Ltd(600648) shipbuilding have fully resumed work and production, and the momentum of operation and production is gratifying. The ship delivery, order receiving, commencement, docking, undocking and sea trial have all declined, and Shanghai shipbuilding industry has returned to the busy scene of roaring machines and splashing welding flowers.
Delivered and left the plant today is a Newcastle bulk carrier “novatra mountain” with 209 thousand DWT of liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual fuel power built for EPS company of Singapore. On the same day, a 210000 DWT Newcastle bulk carrier built for Japan’s Suntech company and a 119000 DWT afra crude oil tanker built for bocom leasing.
“Novatra mountain” is a new generation of dual fuel power ship type with independent intellectual property rights independently developed and designed by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group Co.Ltd(600648) shipbuilding. It is the sister ship of “tourmaline mountain” delivered at the beginning of this year. The ship is 299.50m long, 50m wide, 25.20m deep, with a design draft of 18.40m and a design speed of 14 knots. It is classified into American Bureau of shipping. Driven by LNG fuel and traditional fuel diesel, the ship is equipped with two C-type LNG fuel tanks, with a gas endurance of 20000 nautical miles, which can complete two round trips from China to Australia or one round trip from China to Brazil at one time. Under the LNG fuel mode, the ship basically eliminates the emission of particulate matter and sulfide, meets the requirements of IMO phase IV specifications, and has the remarkable characteristics of “green, environmental protection, energy conservation and safety”.
Due to the impact of the epidemic, the trial voyage of the ship “novatra mountain” originally scheduled for the end of March was delayed. With the careful coordination of China Cssc Holdings Limited(600150) group and the strong support of Shanghai Municipal Commission of economy and information technology, Pudong New Area Science and Technology Commission and Gaodong town government, and with the approval of Pudong New Area government, and on the premise of fully implementing epidemic prevention measures, the ship opened its trial voyage on May 4. After careful planning, full preparation and concerted efforts of the project team, ship owners, ship inspection and relevant service providers, the fuel and gas trials were combined for the first time, and all test projects were successfully completed one day ahead of schedule, which won valuable time for the final delivery of the ship.
The integrity of the two ships undocked on the same day was also greatly improved. Among them, the 210000 DWT Newcastle bulk carrier has completed the completion and inspection of the main structure of the whole ship, the polishing and painting of the engine room, and most of the engine room pipelines and deck piping have been completed. The afra crude oil tanker of 119000 DWT has realized the delivery of multiple cargo oil tanks and pipeline systems, and the engine room has also reached the state of polishing and painting. At the same time, the floating and shifting operation of two other ships in the dock was also completed.
It is worth mentioning that a professional shipping company, which originally provided ship undocking and half ship floating cooperation services for Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group Co.Ltd(600648) shipbuilding, was unable to carry out operations at the factory for the time being due to the epidemic. In order to ensure the completion of the undocking plan on time, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group Co.Ltd(600648) shipbuilding, based on its own strength, specially established a special undocking working group led by the company to carefully organize and plan. After studying and judging the difficult points of undocking operation, systematic troubleshooting of risks and hidden dangers, sand table simulation of the whole process of undocking, practical operation drill at the operation site, multiple rounds of safety inspection, and studying and formulating perfect undocking / relocation scheme and emergency plan with the shipping company in the way of video remote, the operation is safe.
Since the resumption of work and production was started on May 16, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group Co.Ltd(600648) shipbuilding has resolutely implemented the deployment requirements of Shanghai, Pudong New Area and China Cssc Holdings Limited(600150) group on promoting the resumption of work and production in batches and in an orderly manner. Based on the strict implementation of “external defense input, internal defense output, closed-loop management and dynamic zero clearing”, and based on the work strategy of “maintaining key points, connecting processes, controlling scale and focusing on results”, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group Co.Ltd(600648) shipbuilding has accumulated strength and run fast in small steps, Accelerate the recovery of production capacity and supply chain. At present, key engineering projects such as large cruise ships and offshore floating production and storage units (FPSOs) have also been launched one after another.
It is understood that within this week, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group Co.Ltd(600648) shipbuilding will also complete the construction of two 70000teu container ships, one 114000 ton afra finished oil tanker and two 190000 ton Cape of good hope bulk carriers, with a total of five production nodes. The resumption of work and production will enter a new stage of speed-up and expansion.
