May 18 this year is the 46th International Museum Day. Jiangyan District Museum Wuxi Online Offline Communication Information Technology Co.Ltd(300959) carries out “red education” to let the audience feel the charm of local red culture, enrich spiritual and cultural life and draw strength for progress.
Chen Wei, curator of Jiangyan District Museum, introduced that the theme of this year’s International Museum Day is “the power of museums”, which aims to emphasize the potential and ability of museums to affect the human world and call on all walks of life to work together to build a better future for mankind. Jiangyan, with the theme, Wuxi Online Offline Communication Information Technology Co.Ltd(300959) launched two exhibitions.
The online exhibition is “forever children’s number – Documentary Exhibition of machine donation of Jiangyan primary school”. The exhibition is one of the projects of “2022 tour exhibition of fine collections in Jiangsu Province”. The exhibition mainly focuses on the photos and manuscripts saved by Jiangyan Experimental Primary School Education Group (formerly Jiangyan primary school in Beitai County, Jiangsu Province), showing the glorious history of Jiangyan primary school students calling on National Teenagers to “exchange candy for aircraft” during the war to resist US aggression and aid Korea. From May 18 to 21, the Museum of Jiangyan District, through the wechat official account, showed the glorious deeds of Jiangyan youth who were concerned about the front line and loved the motherland more than 70 years ago in four chapters.
The offline exhibition is “Qujiang Fengyun – Qujiang Lou revolutionary calligraphy and painting exhibition”. From 1986 to 1987, when Qujiang tower was renovated as a revolutionary cultural relic, the old leaders and soldiers of the New Fourth Army wrote poems and inscriptions for Qujiang tower, and a large number of calligraphers and painters left ink treasures for Qujiang tower. This exhibition selects some of the calligraphy and painting works to show the full passion of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries and famous calligraphers and painters, and enthusiastically eulogize the great motherland and the great party.
