Commercial terminals are expected to be available in the third quarter of 2022.

According to the information released by Qualcomm, Xiaolong 8 + has excellent performance in extreme games, professional imaging, AI capability and full speed connection.

In terms of games, Xiaolong 8 + can provide super smooth control response, colorful HDR scenes and the best visual quality, as well as many end game level features. With further enhancements, Xiaolong 8 + integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU achieves 10% frequency increase and 30% power consumption reduction; With the improved energy efficiency of the platform, the game life will be extended by up to 60 minutes. The Qualcomm kryo CPU adopted by Xiaolong 8 + also achieved a 10% improvement in processing speed and a 30% improvement in energy efficiency.

The platform also supports immersive QHD + display and anti howling function for multiplayer games to enhance the audio experience. In terms of connection, the first generation Xiaolong 7 mobile platform adopts the fourth generation Xiaolong X62 5g modem, RF system and fastconnect 6900 mobile connection system.

In addition to the two new mobile platforms, Qualcomm also announced the launch of the reference design of wireless ar smart glasses equipped with Xiaolong XR2 platform, marking another milestone in promoting XR to become the next generation computing platform.

Qualcomm said that the wireless ar smart glasses reference design removes the connection line between AR glasses and compatible smartphones, windows PCs or processing units, and realizes almost time-delay ar experience through the new XR software suite and integrated Qualcomm mobile connection system. The shape of the reference design is reduced by 40% and the weight distribution is more balanced. The reference design of wireless ar smart glasses is now available to some partners and is expected to be available to more partners in the coming months.
