Hybrid rice innovation alliance established

On the occasion of commemorating the first anniversary of Academician Yuan Longping’s death, CITIC Group, CITIC agriculture and Yuan Longping High-Tech Agriculture Co.Ltd(000998) initiated the initiative, and 10 units, including China Rice Research Institute, Crop Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, jointly established a hybrid rice innovation alliance. The alliance aims to further accelerate the tackling of key technologies of rice, and jointly overcome, create and cultivate a number of breakthrough key technologies, germplasm resources and major varieties. Mao Changqing, general manager of CITIC agriculture and director of Yuan Longping High-Tech Agriculture Co.Ltd(000998) said that Yuan Longping High-Tech Agriculture Co.Ltd(000998) will fully rely on the market-oriented mechanism to make the alliance the best platform for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
