"Railway Express", namely "railway inbound and outbound express customs clearance", is a new regulatory business model launched by the General Administration of Customs in recent years in view of the characteristics of railway container goods in order to further unblock the logistics channel of international railway transportation and improve the traffic efficiency and customs clearance facilitation level of Railway import and export goods. It is reported that by using the "Railway Express" mode, the customs clearance time will be saved by 24 hours, the overall operation time will be shortened by 1-2 days, and the cost of a single box can also be saved by more than 200 yuan.
Since its opening in December 2021, the operation volume of China Laos train (Chongqing Vientiane) has exceeded 80 trains and 1000 TEUs, with a cargo value of more than 300 million yuan, and the monthly transportation volume is rising steadily. The goods radiate Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar and other Indochina Peninsula countries, and continue to extend to the hinterland of the Eurasian continent.
