According to Yonhap news, South Korean Minister of industry, trade and resources Li Changyang and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina ramondo held talks at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul on the 21st and signed a memorandum of understanding on "South Korea us supply chain and industry dialogue" aimed at upgrading the existing division bureau level Industrial Cooperation Dialogue to a ministerial meeting. Accordingly, the Ministry of industry will hold an annual South Korea us supply chain and industry dialogue meeting with the US Department of Commerce in the future to discuss industrial cooperation and economic security in the fields of digital economy, chip and other high-end manufacturing, improving supply chain toughness, medical technology, export control and so on. The two sides will also discuss research and development (R & D), optimize the business environment and other industrial policies to enhance the global competitiveness of the two countries' industries and explore mutually beneficial and win-win business opportunities.
