What changes will be made in the wage level of major industries in 2021?
According to the data released by the National Bureau of statistics on the 20th, the average annual wage of Urban Non private sector employees in 2021 was 106837 yuan, an increase of 9458 yuan over the previous year, a nominal increase of 9.7%, and the growth rate was 2.1 percentage points higher than that in 2020. After deducting price factors, the annual average wage of Urban Non private sector employees in China will increase by 8.6% in real terms in 2021.
This is also the first time that the average annual wage of Urban Non private sector employees in China has exceeded the 100000 yuan mark. Information transmission, software and information technology service industry, referred to as it industry for short, includes not only Internet enterprises such as games and e-commerce, but also large state-owned enterprises such as China Mobile, China Unicom and Telecom. Among them, Internet enterprises, especially large factories, have attracted wide attention.
According to the data, in 2021, the average annual salary of information transmission, software and information technology service industry exceeded 200000 yuan for the first time, far ahead of all industries in China. Moreover, the average wage growth rate of the industry in 2021 is also far ahead of other industries.
In terms of growth rate, the three industries with the highest annual average wage growth of urban non-private units were information transmission, software and information technology services, finance and mining, with an increase of 13.5%, 13.1% and 12.2% respectively.
Wang Pingping, director of the Department of population and employment statistics of the National Bureau of statistics, explained that with the development of information technology, the wage level and growth rate of information transmission, software and information technology services have been maintained at a high level in recent years. In addition, due to the needs of epidemic prevention and control, there is strong demand for online consumption, which has driven the growth of average wages in the Internet and related service industries. In 2021, the average wages of employees in information transmission, software and information technology services in Urban Non private and urban private units increased by 13.5% and 13.2% respectively.
According to Liepin's recently released insight into the attractiveness of 2022 gold, silver and four Internet companies, Internet companies are still attractive to medium and high-end talents. At the same time, the data show that from March to April this year, the recruitment positions opened by large Internet factories decreased compared with the same period last year, but more young people want to enter large factories, and the number of fresh graduates delivered to large factories increased by 19.67% year-on-year.
In contrast, the three industries with the lowest average annual wages are 53631 yuan for accommodation and catering, 53819 yuan for agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, and 65193 yuan for residential services, repair and other services, respectively, 50%, 50% and 61% of the national average.
According to Wang Pingping's analysis, the average wage level of labor-intensive service industries such as accommodation and catering, resident service repair and other service industries is low, and the growth rate has been at a low level compared with other industries. In 2020, the covid-19 epidemic broke out, and the contact service industry became the industry most affected. Among them, the average wage of employees in the accommodation and catering industry increased negatively. With the effective prevention and control of the epidemic, contact services such as accommodation and catering industry will continue to recover in 2021. Affected by the low average wage base in 2020, the average wage growth of contact services such as accommodation and catering, leasing and business services, residential service repair and other services increased significantly in 2021.
In 2021, the three industries with the lowest wage growth were water conservancy, environment and public facilities management, education, culture, sports and entertainment, with an increase of 3.0%, 4.6% and 4.7% respectively.
According to Wang Pingping's analysis, with the effectiveness of epidemic prevention and control, most industries recovered in 2021, but the income of tourism and scenic spots recovered slowly, and there were more public welfare posts such as environmental protection and forest protection with low wages in some areas, which reduced the wage growth rate of water conservancy, environment and public facilities management. In 2021, the average wage of Urban Non private sector employees in this industry increased by 3.0%, 1.5 percentage points lower than that in 2020; Although the average wage growth of urban private units has changed from negative to positive, it has only increased by 0.2%, which is still lower than the level in 2019.
