In April 2022, 551000 Chinese brand passenger cars were sold, down 39.1% month on month and 23.3% year-on-year, accounting for 57.0% of the total passenger car sales. The share increased by 8.5 percentage points over the previous month and 14.9 percentage points over the same period last year.
From January to April 2022, a total of 3098000 Chinese brand passenger cars were sold, with a year-on-year increase of 9.8%, accounting for 47.6% of the total passenger car sales, and the share increased by 6.0 percentage points over the same period last year.
In April 2022, the market share of Chinese brand cars, SUVs and MPVS was 46.2%, 65.7% and 66.9% respectively. Compared with the previous month, the market share of Chinese brand cars, SUVs and MPVS increased, among which the growth of Chinese brand SUVs was more obvious; Compared with the same period of last year, the market share of Chinese brand MPV increased slightly, and the growth of Chinese brand cars and SUVs was more obvious.
From January to April 2022, the market share of Chinese brand cars, SUVs and MPVS was 37.3%, 55.2% and 56.1% respectively. Compared with the same period of last year, the market share of Chinese brand cars and SUVs increased respectively, and MPVS still decreased.
