Bigo group (08220. HK) announced that Wang Jingqiang, an independent non-executive director, was listed as one of the respondents in the petition filed with the court of first instance of the high court of Hong Kong under section 214 (1) (b), (c) and (d) of the securities and Futures Ordinance, Chapter 571 of the laws of Hong Kong.
Wang Jingqiang resigned as an independent non-executive director due to his intention to devote more time to his personal affairs and other business commitments, effective from May 20, 2022.
Following Wang Jingqiang’s resignation, (I) Wang Jingqiang no longer serves as the chairman of the company’s audit committee and the respective members of the company’s remuneration committee and the company’s nomination committee, and (II) Xu Yongde (independent non-executive director and member of the audit committee) has been appointed as the chairman of the audit committee.
