On May 1, ideal automobile, Weilai automobile and Xiaopeng automobile successively announced the delivery data in April this year. Xiaopeng automobile achieved a delivery volume of 9002 vehicles, ranking first. Weilai automobile delivered 5074 vehicles and ideal automobile delivered 4167 vehicles.
In April, “Wei Xiaoli” three new power car companies delivered 18243 vehicles in total, a slight increase of 2.6% year-on-year compared with 17788 vehicles in the same period last year, and a decrease of 50% month on month compared with 36433 vehicles in March this year.

Specifically, Xiaopeng delivered a total of 9002 vehicles in April, down 42% month on month. From January to April this year, Xiaopeng automobile has delivered 43600 vehicles in total. Since the delivery, the cumulative delivery volume of Xiaopeng automobile in history is about 180000.
Weilai delivered a total of 5074 vehicles in April, down 49% month on month. Among them, 693 flagship cars et7 were delivered recently. From January to April this year, the cumulative delivery volume of Weilai automobile was 30800. Since delivery, Weilai has delivered nearly 200000 electric vehicles in total.
Ideal car delivered 4167 ideal one in April, down 62% month on month. From January to April this year, a total of 35900 ideal cars were delivered. Since delivery, the cumulative delivery of ideal one has reached nearly 160000 vehicles.
In the past April, the whole automobile industry has been under heavy pressure, and the sales of the three new forces of “Wei Xiaoli” have also declined significantly.
Shen Yanan, co-founder and President of ideal automobile, said that the Changzhou base of ideal automobile is located in Changzhou, Jiangsu. At the same time, more than 80% of the parts suppliers of ideal automobile are distributed in the Yangtze River Delta, and a large part of them are located in Shanghai and Kunshan, Jiangsu. “Affected by the epidemic situation in the Yangtze River Delta, some suppliers in Shanghai and Kunshan, Jiangsu and other regions were unable to supply, and some suppliers even stopped working or stopped working completely, resulting in the inability to continue production after digesting the existing parts inventory, which had a great impact on the production of ideal cars in April.”
Weilai automobile said that in order to meet the growing demand for orders, it needs to further overcome the pressure brought by the epidemic and supply chain. At present, its production is gradually recovering. In addition, the second production base of Weilai in Hefei Xinqiao intelligent electric vehicle industrial park is progressing smoothly and is planned to be officially put into operation in the third quarter.
It is not only the poor supply chain that leads to the decline of production capacity of automobile enterprises and supporting enterprises; On the other hand, consumer demand for cars has also declined to a certain extent.
According to the data of China Automobile Association, in the past March, automobile production and sales completed 2.241 million and 2.234 million respectively, with a month on month increase of 23.4% and 28.4% respectively, and a year-on-year decrease of 9.1% and 11.7% respectively. China Automobile Association said that considering a series of uncertain factors, the difficulty and complexity of the current industrial breakthrough are increasing.
The association said that April is the golden period for the launch of new cars over the years. The launch of heavy new products from March to April has greatly promoted market popularity and manufacturers’ sales. However, the pace of manufacturers’ new product launch this year is facing overall adjustment, which will bring some losses.
It is worth noting that the production capacity of auto enterprises and related supporting enterprises located in Jilin, Shanghai and other places is gradually recovering.
In addition, the problem of insufficient consumer demand has been paid attention to by relevant departments. The executive meeting of the State Council held on April 13 deployed policies and measures to promote consumption, proposed to encourage large-scale consumption such as automobiles, prohibit new automobile purchase restriction measures in various regions, gradually increase the incremental indicators of purchase restrictions, and support the consumption of new energy vehicles. Automobile consumption is expected to recover after obtaining policy support.
