The China Europe train loaded with clothing, shoes and hats, diapers and other daily necessities set off from Quanzhou east railway station in Fujian Province on April 30, passed through Manzhouli railway port, and is expected to arrive in Moscow in 15 days, becoming the first China Europe train in Quanzhou since the occurrence of this round of local epidemic. The previous day, the 75030 China Europe train (honggutian) left the Shanghang railway station in Longyan City and headed for Europe.
When interviewed by economic experts here, they believed that the “multi-point flowering” of China EU trains helped Fujian speed up the construction of an important node channel of “double circulation”.
Fujian is a strong province in manufacturing and foreign trade along the southeast coast of China. Under the epidemic situation, it is difficult to find one container for international shipping and the freight rate has increased greatly, which promotes many places in Fujian to compete for the layout of China Europe trains. At present, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Wuyishan, Ningde, Longyan and other places in Fujian have opened China Europe trains. Statistics show that in 2021, Fujian opened 437 China Europe (Asia) trains, with a year-on-year increase of 21.
With the opening of “honggutian”, Longyan City has become another city in Fujian that runs China Europe trains. Officials from Longyan Municipal Bureau of Commerce said that the newly opened international logistics channel will effectively promote the accelerated development of the city’s foreign trade and help build a regional logistics and supply chain center.
Zhang Xiaohong, director of Quanzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said that the China Europe train will add momentum to the export of enterprises. Chen Hanhe, chairman of meijiashuang (China) Co., Ltd., also said that the goods can take the international train from the door, and the transportation time can be saved by about 25 days compared with sea transportation, which greatly reduces the transportation cost of the enterprise.
“Silk Road shipping”, “Silk Road flying” and railway connectivity have been upgraded, laying the foundation for the “multi-point flowering” of Fujian China Europe trains. By the end of January this year, there were more than 200 member units of the “Silk Road shipping” alliance, covering the whole logistics process of ports, airlines, railways and so on. Xiamen port, Fuzhou port, Tianjin Port Co.Ltd(600717) , Qingdao Port International Co.Ltd(601298) , Yingkou port, Guangzhou Port Company Limited(601228) , Beibu Gulf Port Co.Ltd(000582) and other ports have successively opened 86 “Silk Road shipping” named routes, built a route network connecting 99 ports in 27 countries, completed 7361 voyages and handled 8.01 million TEUs of containers.
Duan Guohua, chairman of Strait (Fujian) Transportation Engineering Design Co., Ltd., pointed out that with the opening of Xingguo Qingliu section of Xingguo Quanzhou railway and Pucheng Meizhou railway, the number of railway channels out of Fujian Province has increased to 11, and the “three vertical and six horizontal” railway transportation main frame in Fujian has been basically completed.
At present, the global economic situation is complex and severe, and the covid-19 pneumonia epidemic has a wide and far-reaching impact, especially the economies of Quanzhou, Ningde and other places have been affected by the local epidemic since the spring of this year. Dai Yongwu, a professor at the school of economics and management of Fujian agriculture and Forestry University, believes that in the face of the “cold spring” of the local epidemic, the “multi-point flowering” of the China Europe train will promote the stability of Fujian’s economy and foreign trade.
At present, all departments at all levels in Fujian continue to play a policy “combination fist” in combination with the actual situation to help enterprises tide over the “epidemic”. The action plan for promoting the steady growth of the industrial economy disclosed by the Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission shows that Fujian will encourage foreign trade enterprises to sign long-term agreements with liner companies; Support Xiamen port and other ports to carry out sea rail intermodal international transit business, and promote the linkage development of “Silk Road shipping” with China Europe trains and the new land and sea channel in the West.
The policy advantages of “multi regional superposition” such as Fujian pilot free trade zone and the core area of the 21st century Maritime Silk Road continue to be released, which continues to inject strong impetus into the development of China EU trains. The relevant person in charge of Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce said that Fujian will promote the expansion of supply and line increment of China EU trains, encourage the increase of the proportion of sea rail intermodal transport and enhance the radiation of port logistics network.
Some experts also told reporters that all localities should strengthen cooperation and beware of “rushing into mass action” to open the China EU train, so as to avoid possible duplication and waste of resources.
