In order to further care for children from poor families and create a good habit of “reading well, reading well, being able to read and reading more”, recently, on the occasion of the 27th World reading day, New China Life Insurance Company Ltd(601336) Shiyan central branch and Chongqing Road Primary School in Maojian district jointly launched a public welfare activity of “thick book fragrance and convey Xinhua feelings”, hoping that children will pursue excellence in Book fragrance and light up their life in reading.

During the activity, after the young pioneers presented red scarves to the volunteers attending the meeting, Xia Kun, Secretary of the Party branch of the company, placed a deep hope on the students that “you have a long interest in reading and don’t lose the good time”. Under the leadership of Xia Kun, the volunteers sent more than 100 books such as “up and down 5000 years” and “Encyclopedia of Chinese children” to 20 students, covering natural science, Chinese and foreign classics, Encyclopedia of children and other books suitable for different ages, in order to help students broaden their horizons and draw strength from books. Then, volunteers and students read “Ode to China” with full enthusiasm and passionate language. The atmosphere was warm and affectionate, and ignited the spiritual torch of the new era with abundant positive energy.
