On January 14, China United Airlines upgraded its Wenzhou base to Zhejiang branch.
Wenzhou, as an important pillar of the rhombic network layout of China United Airlines, its huge economic development potential provides a sustainable development driving force for China United Airlines in East China. In January 2021, Wenzhou base was established. United Airlines of China continues to increase its investment in Wenzhou market. At present, it has invested 8 overnight aircraft in Wenzhou and opened 13 routes, including Beijing Daxing Dongying Wenzhou, Wenzhou Foshan, Wenzhou Handan – Inner Mongolia Eerduosi Resources Co.Ltd(600295) , Wenzhou Changsha and Wenzhou Hanzhong Yulin. The average daily flight volume is 29. It will carry 720000 passengers in Wenzhou market in 2021.
It is expected that by the end of the 14th Five Year Plan period, the number of overnight aircraft in Wenzhou will increase to more than 20, with an average daily flight volume of 110, and further expand the routes of tens of millions of airports such as Beijing Daxing, Chengdu Tianfu, Zhengzhou and Zhuhai. At the same time, taking advantage of Wenzhou’s geographical advantages, we will open regional routes such as Macao and Taipei, timely develop Asian routes to Japan and South Korea’s central cities such as Tokyo, Osaka and Seoul, and promote Wenzhou airport to become an important airport in the world-class airport group in the Yangtze River Delta and a regional hub airport along the east coast of China.
