Spring is precious, so we should grasp the farming season. Li Hongyuan, the person in charge of Lianjia grain and oil professional cooperative in Tianzhuang Town, Pingdu City, Qingdao, was busy early. There was a light rain some time ago, and the soil moisture was good. He planned to plant peanuts today. Commanding a truck loaded with plastic film to slowly drive into the cooperative, Li Hongyuan was confident: “this year’s peanut output will not be wrong!” He told reporters that last year, Qingdao agricultural technology center arranged different types and different formulas of plastic film peanut mulching tests in his cooperative planting base. Due to sufficient rain, the average yield of peanut using degradable plastic film reached about 1000 kg per mu, and the highest yield reached 1107 kg.
The reporter learned from Qingdao agricultural technology center that this kind of fully biodegradable plastic film not only performs well in terms of increasing temperature and moisture, inhibiting weeds, increasing production and efficiency, but also can be decomposed into carbon dioxide and water by microorganisms under natural conditions, reducing the trouble of residual film recovery, saving time and effort, but also environmental protection, and killing many birds with one stone. Li Hongyuan, who tasted the “sweetness” last year, plans to continue to use it in the variety demonstration field this year. He told reporters: “using this whole organism to explain that the root system of peanut covered with plastic film is developed, the leaves are thickened, and the yield has increased by more than 100 kg per mu. The surrounding Lbx Pharmacy Chain Joint Stock Company(603883) saw the effect last year, and they also use it together today.”
It is reported that Qingdao has introduced degradable plastic films since 2013, and introduced six kinds of degradable plastic films from abroad in 2015. After that, it has conducted in-depth research on the degradation mechanism, controllability of induction period, agricultural effect and residue analysis of fully biodegradable plastic films for several consecutive years, and screened the varieties of degradable plastic films suitable for Qingdao. From 2020 to 2021, Qingdao invested 23.4 million yuan to promote the use of 80000 mu of standard plastic film and 85000 mu of degradable plastic film in the city’s potato production, with a cumulative area of more than 165000 mu of biodegradable plastic film.
Jiaoxi street in Jiaozhou City is the main potato production area. Potato is the main local industry, and there is a large demand for plastic film. “In the past, the old mulch film could not be degraded. It not only affected the growth of crops, but also hindered the operation of agricultural machinery. It was very inconvenient. Since the government promoted the degradable mulch film to farmers for free, we no longer have to go into the land to pick up the residual film manually. The labor cost has decreased, and the potato yield has increased.” When it comes to degradable plastic film, song zengtai, Secretary of the Party branch of yuangezhuang village, can’t help praising it.
The promotion of new degradable plastic film is in full swing, and the recycling of waste plastic film can not be ignored. In the agricultural film recycling bin of Yihe family farm, xinglongtun village, Jiangshan Town, Laixi City, farmer Wang Zhitao is packing the residual agricultural film collected a while ago: “these plastic films will be sent to enterprises with professional qualifications every once in a while, and can be reused after processing.” He told reporters that his agricultural film recycling station is responsible for the recycling of residual film in 10 surrounding villages, with an annual recycling capacity of 10 tons. Last year, he collected 7.72 tons of plastic film and 0.86 tons of plastic film. Wang Zhitao pointed to the black drip irrigation belt in the wheat field and told reporters: “those black drip irrigation belts are the recycling and reproduction of waste residual film.”
The background color of agriculture is green. In recent years, Qingdao has adhered to the concept of agricultural green development into the prevention and control of agricultural film pollution. Through the “new promotion + old recycling” model, Qingdao has carried out the research, development, popularization and application of key technologies for agricultural film pollution prevention and control such as reduction, substitution and recycling of traditional plastic film throughout the city, protected Green cultivated land and promoted the sustainable development of agriculture. At present, Qingdao has integrated a set of application methods and technical modes of degradable mulching film suitable for the growth of local potatoes, which has effectively promoted the promotion and use of national standard film and degradable mulching film. At the same time, 340 agricultural film residue recycling stations have been set up in agriculture related areas, with dense plastic film recycling networks, divided responsibility areas and grid supervision. Each recycling station radiates 8-15 villages, basically realizing the full coverage of agricultural film residue recycling stations in agriculture related towns and villages in the city. The staff of Qingdao Agricultural Technology Extension Center told reporters: “according to the requirement of setting up one farmland film residue monitoring point per 30000 mu of film covered farmland in Qingdao, 65 monitoring points were set and 325 samples were taken to obtain the data of farmland film residue in different regions, different crops and different film covered years, so as to provide a scientific basis for film pollution prevention and control and comprehensive decision-making.” According to statistics, in Qingdao, 25700 tons of agricultural film were used and 24200 tons of waste agricultural film were recycled, with a recovery rate of 94.2%.
