These seeds neatly arranged in the cultivation vessel are a new highland barley variety Kunlun 14, which has been cultivated by the base in cooperation with the Local Academy of Agricultural Sciences in recent years. Compared with the previous varieties, this variety is more drought resistant, disease and pest resistant and stress resistant. In 2019, Kunlun 14 began large-scale cultivation, and the yield of highland barley per mu increased from 400 kg to about 500 kg, a full increase of 25%.

If the seeds are sown the next day, it will be difficult for the seeds to grow, which is also one of the reasons for the difficulty of crop growth in this land. Therefore, sowing at night is of extraordinary significance to the arid Qinghai Tibet Plateau.
