On April 24, the reporter learned from Petrochina Company Limited(601857) Liaohe oilfield that the first pilot test scheme of CCUs (carbon capture, utilization and storage technology) of the oilfield was officially approved and successfully included in the construction of the first batch of CCUs demonstration areas of PetroChina, that is to carry out “four industrialization promotion” in Daqing, Jilin, Changqing, Xinjiang and other oilfields, and in Liaohe Oilfield, Jidong Oilfield, Dagang Oilfield, Huabei Oilfield, Tuha oilfield Southern exploration carried out “six pilot tests”.
It is reported that under the background of “double carbon”, Liaohe Oilfield attaches great importance to the business development of CCUs. Taking building the first batch of demonstration areas of PetroChina as the main line, Liaohe Oilfield has fully promoted the work of resource evaluation, carbon source and sink matching, top-level design, pilot test scheme, on-site test injection and key research topic demonstration, and realized the transformation of “from nothing to existence and from concept to on-site”.
Liaohe Oilfield is the largest heavy oil production base on land in China. It has been developed on a scale of 10 million tons for 36 years. At present, the output of thermal recovery of heavy oil and water injection development account for half of each country. The application of CCUs technology has a good resource base and urgent demand. In July 2021, Liaohe Oilfield started the preparation of CCUs pilot test scheme. The pilot test scheme for carbon displacement and carbon storage of SHA1 ultra-low permeability reservoir in Wa 128 well block shuang229 of Liaohe Oilfield passed the “three important and one major” resolution of the joint stock company this year. The scheme design relies on the associated gas of fire drive in Shu1 area as the gas source, and the captured carbon dioxide is transmitted to wa 128 well area of shuang229 block for closed cycle injection. At the end of the stage, 2.36 million tons of carbon dioxide is accumulated, which is equivalent to planting 21.24 million trees and stopping 1.42 million economic cars for one year.
At present, preliminary progress has been made in the implementation of CCUs in Liaohe Oilfield. At present, there are three carbon dioxide capture stations with a capture capacity of 137000 tons / year and a current operation capacity of 107000 tons / year. The captured carbon dioxide is mainly used in thermal recovery heavy oil auxiliary steam huff and puff, further improving the development effect.
