Changan releases Lumin models, and forvia announces the Chinese name of the group

Changan releases Lumin

On April 22, Chongqing Changan Automobile Company Limited(000625) released the Changan Lumin model in Chongqing. The model is based on the Changan epa0 pure electric platform, with length, width and height of 3270 / 1700 / 1545mm and wheelbase of 1980mm respectively. It has hidden door handle, 10.25 inch LCD screen, double airbags and other configurations. The car will launch three mileage versions of 155km, 210km and 301km.

Yicai comments: after Wuling Hongguang miniev became a phenomenal explosion in A00 pure electric market, many car companies competed to layout in this segment. Earlier, Chongqing Changan Automobile Company Limited(000625) launched the e-star with close positioning, while Chery launched the QQ ice cream model. It is worth noting that at present, the cost of raw materials for new energy vehicles has risen sharply, and the entry-level models with low price are under great pressure. Some relevant people of automobile enterprises have told reporters that some products with a starting price of 30000 ~ 40000 yuan hardly make money, and even lose one by selling one. However, at present, A00 electric vehicles are still an important segment of new energy vehicles, and the large market scale still makes it difficult for car enterprises to give up. According to Chongqing Changan Automobile Company Limited(000625) plan, the company’s sales target of new energy vehicles in 2025 is 1.05 million. If miniev can be copied successfully, Lumin will become an important part of Chang’an’s sales target in 2025.

forvia announces the Chinese name of the group

On April 22, forvia, the world’s seventh largest automotive technology supplier, officially announced that the Chinese name of the group was Freya. Faurecia officially completed the acquisition of the controlling interest in Haila on January 31 this year, and then on February 7, Faurecia and Haila announced that the merged new group was named forvia.

Yicai comments: according to earlier information, after the merger of Faurecia and Haila, both parties still retain their names and continue to operate as two independent companies. Haila’s automotive electronics, lamps and other businesses are a powerful supplement to Faurecia. Among them, Haila’s automotive electronics will be merged with Foggia’s Gele electronics into a new automotive electronics division, with businesses including automatic driving, advanced driving assistance system (ADAS), sensors, cockpit electronics, energy management, human-computer interaction and display, etc. Through cost coordination and optimization, the two sides plan to create an additional Shenzhen Jt Automation Equipment Co.Ltd(300400) million euros in sales and generate 200 million euros in cash flow each year by 2025. In recent years, “merger” and “group” are common in the automotive industry. In the process of electric and intelligent transformation, many automobile enterprises and suppliers have adopted the way of merger or in-depth cooperation to reduce the cost of R & D and production on a large scale. Before the merger of Faurecia and Hella, PSA and FCA merged to form the stellantis group, which became the fourth largest carmaker in the world. However, it is worth noting that although the importance of the Chinese market has been emphasized in public for many times, the stellantis group has not yet announced the Chinese name of the new company.
