In the past 10 years, 86% of the 1345 national approved varieties of major crops have been bred in the south.

He qiongmei said that in the next step, Hainan will comprehensively promote the general survey of agricultural germplasm resources, continue to strengthen the construction of transfer bases for the introduction of global animal and plant germplasm resources, collect and introduce a number of excellent germplasm resources, and provide a material basis for breeding innovation.
