On the 16th, Jiangsu Nantong, such as the LNG terminal of dongyangkou port, welcomed the giant LNG ship “Zaka”, which brought 115000 tons of liquefied natural gas on this voyage, which can meet the daily gas consumption of 320 million households. According to statistics, the ship is also the 23rd LNG ship connected by Jiangsu this year. 2.2 million tons of liquefied natural gas are continuously transported from here to East China to ensure the gas demand in East China.
Over the past few days, Nantong maritime safety administration has coordinated the work of safe production, epidemic prevention and control and smooth transportation of water transportation, opened up a “green channel” for ships transporting key materials such as liquefied natural gas, and achieved “priority in planning, port entry and departure, berthing and unloading, loading and unloading”, striving to ensure the stability and smoothness of the supply chain of key materials.
Since November, Jiangsu Maritime Security Bureau has unloaded a total of 3.1 million tons of LNG at Nantong LNG receiving station, with a total of 33.1 million tons of LNG in 2021. Throughout the winter supply period, in the face of frequent cold wave, strong wind, extreme weather, few working days and normalization of epidemic prevention and control, Nantong Maritime Safety Administration solidly promoted the task of “security, communication, smooth and transportation” of LNG transportation, and made every effort to ensure the smooth flow of green energy channels.
It is reported that Jiangsu LNG terminal is an important “energy supply station” in the Yangtze River Delta. There are six LNG storage tanks with a total tank capacity of 1.08 million m3. Based on the calculation that one cubic meter of LNG can be gasified into 625 cubic meters of natural gas, the station can reserve 670 million cubic meters of gasified natural gas when the storage capacity is full. In the peak period of gas consumption in winter, it can ensure the gas consumption of 23 million households for one month.
