Logistics and distribution personnel walking through Shanghai

In the past, the noisy Shanghai market suddenly quieted down. To be honest, I was worried about driving every day, but I also had a heavy sense of mission. I did my best to give one more piece as a gift.

Wangyelin is a logistics distributor of Shanghai Suning.Com Co.Ltd(002024) . That is, on the day before the closure of Pudong and other regions in Shanghai, Suning.Com Co.Ltd(002024) logistics launched the “green channel” and set up an anti epidemic commando team in Shanghai Fengxian logistics base, with general manager Hu Yong as the general person in charge, and gathered capable personnel such as epidemic prevention management, logistics support, warehousing, distribution personnel and volunteers to support the transportation of living materials and emergency services during the closure and control period. Wang Lin is one of them. “I signed up immediately and started sports car the next day.”

“I’m still a little nervous”

Wang Yelin starts his sports car before 9 a.m. every day and returns to the logistics base after 8 p.m. in the urban and suburban areas, he drives wherever there is demand, and the farthest one-way trip is more than 60 kilometers. “It takes almost 12 hours to drive a sports car every day. When I’m tired, I sometimes lean against the roadside to have a little rest, but I don’t feel tired when I’m worried. I hope to deliver the goods earlier.”

Wang Yelin’s recent routine of delivery is to deliver food love gift bags to enterprises and construction sites in the Development Zone in the morning, run to the colleague community that needs to supply living materials at noon, and deliver the refrigerators and freezers urgently needed by customers at the agreed time in the afternoon. “Some people’s refrigerators and freezers are broken. We are very worried, and we are also worried.” Compared with the urgent material demand, the existing transportation capacity is very limited, and Wang Yelin has great delivery pressure. He will also relay with community volunteers to complete the “last 100 meters” when the sealed community can’t get to his home. “I’m trying to run and deliver as much as possible, and I’m also comforting anxious customers. It’s very difficult at this time. I just want to refuel together and hope to go there as soon as possible.”

“Wang Yelin is down-to-earth, reliable and careful. When he has special delivery tasks, he will think of him at the first time.” In the team, Wang Yelin was deeply trusted. Under his influence, many colleagues also overcame difficulties and joined the supply guarantee team. Now, more than 100 people of the anti epidemic commando have fought side by side. Up to now, more than 20 days and nights of continuous operation have distributed more than 100 tons of epidemic prevention living materials.

What impressed Wang Yelin was that once, near the sealed control area, the colleagues sitting on the co driver looked a little nervous and unconsciously rubbed and checked their protective clothing. Wang Yelin understood very well, “we are still a little nervous, but we don’t mean to stop at all.”

“I can’t patronize myself”

On April 10, Wang Yelin received an urgent task to transport more than 50 freezers for a temporary centralized isolation and treatment point in Hongkou District, Shanghai. From loading, transportation to unloading at the destination, Wang Yelin undertook it alone, and it took only more than two hours. “These freezers are urgently needed by medical staff and patients. They can’t be delayed for a moment, and they have to be delivered in case of danger.”

On the way back to the logistics base after delivering the freezer, Wang Yelin received a call from his family. His family was worried about his work in Shanghai. “Asked me if I got off work and knew I was still running outside, I was very worried, so I repeatedly told me to pay attention to safety.”

He said bluntly, “it’s up to me to pay more attention. So many people in the city need help, and I can’t patronize myself.” Every time the delivery of a single order is completed, Wang Lin feels the strength when he sees the grateful eyes of the consignee when he receives the goods. He feels his value stronger than ever, which has become the driving force for him to stick to the road.

Wang Yelin is just 30 years old this year, but he is already an “old anti epidemic person”. On January 24, 2020, the day after Wuhan was closed, Wang Yelin went to support the material transportation in Wuhan. At that time, the protective materials couldn’t keep up. He didn’t wear protective clothing. He just took a mask and went to the hospital to deliver materials. The first delivery was Tongji Hospital, which sent masks, goggles and other materials.

In addition to sports cars, Wang Yelin offered to help people with loading, unloading and handling. “At present, people are in short supply. You can’t just watch people suffer. At least you should help them. It doesn’t matter what they suffer or what they are tired of.” He admitted that from Wuhan to Shanghai, the anti epidemic experience has deeply changed him. “The impact is particularly profound. In such a critical moment, I will stand up.”

With that, Wang Yelin checked the goods on the car and continued to run to the next delivery point.
