The scientific and technological innovation ability and economic strength have been continuously enhanced, laying a solid foundation for building a national innovative city.
So far, there are 514 high-tech enterprises in the city and more than 200 R & D platforms above the provincial level. Driven by various science and technology projects and innovation policies, the whole society’s R & D investment accounted for 2.52% of GDP, 0.24 percentage points higher than the R & D investment intensity of the whole province.
The construction of innovative city is not only a strong support for the construction of innovative country, but also the internal demand of urban development. Last March, Bengbu City issued a national innovative city construction plan. It is planned that by 2023, the R & D investment intensity of the whole society will account for 2.8% of the regional GDP, and the public financial expenditure on science and technology will account for 6.5% of the public financial expenditure; The contract value of the technology market reached 6 billion yuan, accounting for 2% of the regional GDP.
