Gome, JD, Suning.Com Co.Ltd(002024) and other home appliance retail enterprises participated in one after another. Beijing users can enjoy a variety of preferential activities such as old for new subsidy + energy-saving subsidy + subsidy voucher.
On April 12, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce reported that in order to accelerate the release of green energy-saving consumption potential and promote consumption upgrading, Beijing has issued green energy-saving consumption vouchers to consumers in Beijing since April 2022 to encourage consumers to buy and use green energy-saving products. The green energy-saving consumption voucher is applicable to 20 categories of commodities, including notebook computers, tablet computers, monitors, televisions, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, etc.
It is reported that on the 18th of each month from April to September 2022, green energy-saving consumption vouchers will be issued on the participating enterprises’ own online platforms, with a total of 6 issues. Consumers in Beijing can receive one coupon package every month on the online platform of the same participating enterprise, including six coupons, with a total amount of 900 yuan, including two 50 yuan coupons (available for consumption over 500 yuan), two 100 yuan coupons (available for consumption over 1000 yuan), one 200 yuan coupon (available for consumption over 2000 yuan) and one 400 yuan coupon (available for consumption over 4000 yuan). The coupons received in the current month are valid for the current month.
On April 13, Beijing Gome and Beijing Dazhong launched the “green energy consumption Festival”, providing various preferential activities such as old for new subsidies + energy-saving subsidies + subsidy vouchers, so as to promote the popularization of green energy-saving household appliances. In terms of energy-saving subsidies, consumers can receive a maximum subsidy of 800 yuan, including 200800 yuan for primary and secondary energy-efficient household appliances.
On March 30, Gome retail announced that its zhenhappy app and Gome had reached 100 billion level strategic cooperation with many home appliance brands. In this regard, Li Juntao, vice president of Gome, said that Gome jointly launched new forms of business cooperation such as large-scale brand festival activities with the upgrading of new retail model and e-commerce distribution model, so as to realize complementary resources and open sharing.
During the event, Beijing Suning.Com Co.Ltd(002024) continued to promote the old for new activities. Beijing Suning.Com Co.Ltd(002024) data show that since the launch of the “old for new” activity, the sales amount of green household appliances has exceeded 6.5 billion, the sales volume of energy-saving green household appliances has exceeded 1.49 million, and the subsidy amount has exceeded 700 million yuan. From April to September this year, on the 18th of each month, when consumers receive the government’s “Beijing green energy-saving consumption voucher”, enterprises will subsidize the same amount.
Jd.com is also involved. Consumers can get green energy-saving consumption vouchers and buy related goods through jd.com’s Beijing green energy-saving zone and other channels. JD will join nearly 70 brands of more than 1800 home appliances to participate in the event. In addition, after users choose to support the “old for new” products in JD home appliances, they can upload the old machine information to obtain the new product reduction discount, and enjoy the “three free” services of free door-to-door, free machine dismantling and free handling.
With the proposal of “double carbon” goal, green consumption is imperative. In recent years, relevant departments have repeatedly issued documents mentioning the renewal and recycling of household appliances. In January 2019, the national development and Reform Commission said, “support the sales of green and smart appliances, give appropriate subsidies to consumers, and promote the upgrading of household appliances.” The 2022 government work report also proposed to promote the deep integration of Wuxi Online Offline Communication Information Technology Co.Ltd(300959) consumption, promote the recovery of life service consumption, and develop new consumption formats and models. Encourage local governments to carry out green smart appliances to the countryside and trade in the old for the new.
