On April 12, China Cssc Holdings Limited(600150) group’s Hudong Zhonghua shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. and Qatar energy company jointly announced that the construction contract of the first batch of four 174000 cubic meters liquefied natural gas (LNG) transport ships of “Qatar 100 ship construction plan – Qatar North gas field expansion ship purchase project” undertaken by Hudong Zhonghua came into effect immediately. So far, Hudong Zhonghua has undertaken 11 orders for large LNG carriers in 2022.
The first batch of construction orders of the project were officially settled in China. Hudong Zhonghua took the lead in the competition with international strong players with advanced design concept, excellent brand ship type and full life cycle service system, marking that the “made in China” and China Cssc Holdings Limited(600150) brand have been recognized by the world again.
The first batch of four LNG carriers signed the construction contract will adopt the fifth generation “Changheng series” 174000 m3 LNG carrier independently developed and designed by Hudong Zhonghua. It has a total length of 299 meters, a profile width of 46.4 meters and a profile depth of 26.25 meters. It is tailored according to the technical standards formed by Qatar energy company’s operation of the world’s largest LNG fleet.
The ship adopts a new generation of double stern fin line, and uses a number of low-carbon and digital technologies to make the ship fast, good performance and less navigation emissions; High degree of advancement and strong global universality; The empty ship has light weight and strong cargo carrying capacity; Flexible oil and gas balance and strong route matching.
China and Canada said one belt, one road to build a China Cssc Holdings Limited(600150) , a bridge between hutong China and Qatar oil and Qatar, will be a bridge for Sino Canadian exchanges and cooperation and a model of “one belt and one road” development.
This signing is the third LNG carrier order announced by the shipyard of China Cssc Holdings Limited(600150) group recently. On March 30 this year, Jiangnan Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. and Dalian shipbuilding industry group Co., Ltd. also signed the construction contract of large LNG carrier respectively, which is the first time for the two shipyards to undertake the construction order of large LNG carrier.
