Jingdong provides more than 16 million pieces of rice noodles, grain and oil and other livelihood commodities to Shanghai

Xinhua Finance and economics, Beijing, April 10 - "Jingdong will provide more than 16 million pieces of livelihood commodities such as rice noodles, grain and oil for Shanghai, which can ensure the daily supply of Shanghai Jingdong users for nearly a month." On the morning of April 10, at the press conference on epidemic prevention and control in Shanghai, Wang Wenbo, vice president of JD group, gave a detailed answer to the questions mentioned by the reporter on whether the supply of food, mother and baby, medicine and other urgently needed by the public can be met, and whether it can be delivered in time during the period of sealing and control.

Wang Wenbo said that he had been in Shanghai and had a deep understanding of the concerns of citizens about online shopping during the closure period. Jingdong group has now joined the supply guarantee system of Shanghai. As a technology and service enterprise based on the supply chain, Jingdong group will earnestly shoulder the social responsibility of new entity enterprises, give full play to its own advantages and devote itself to the anti epidemic supply guarantee work in Shanghai by relying on the supply chain infrastructure of Jingdong group.

For the "unavailable" and "difficult to buy" problems that Shanghai citizens are most worried about, Wang Wenbo said that JD will focus on people's livelihood materials and focus on increasing the supply of food, mother and baby, medicine and other materials. Through emergency national allocation, the first batch of key guaranteed supplies have been transported to Shanghai by Jingdong Logistics special vehicle, including more than 80000 maternal and infant supplies, such as infant milk powder, diapers, more than 100000 medicines and epidemic prevention supplies, and 10 tons of mutton from Xinjiang. In addition to reaching consumers, some milk powder is also sent to Shanghai Children's medical center to ensure the needs of infants and young children admitted to the "parent-child shelter hospital". Subsequently, JD will continue to donate and distribute infant formula milk powder, diapers and other materials required by the parent-child shelter hospital. JD health's "drug help Registration Platform" has received 37000 drug help messages from patients with chronic diseases in Shanghai as of April 9. The drug needs of patients are being met through JD pharmacy and other self owned channels and cooperative store distribution. Jd.com will also increase the inventory of fresh food. Grain, meat, poultry and seafood are prepared 2-3 times more than usual, providing more than 16 million pieces of rice flour, grain and oil and other livelihood commodities for Shanghai, which can ensure the daily supply of jd.com users in Shanghai for nearly a month.

For the problems of "delivery failure" and "slow delivery" worried by Shanghai citizens, Wang Wenbo said that JD has deployed the first batch of more than 2000 express brothers to provide operation guarantee and material delivery services for the front line in Shanghai. Jingdong will make every effort to deliver more and faster goods for everyone on the premise of strictly complying with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control. At the same time, JD logistics continues to increase the investment in transportation capacity and use intelligent logistics technology to improve efficiency. It has dispatched a large number of the latest fifth generation unmanned intelligent express vehicles to carry out contactless distribution in the sealed area, and will continue to add unmanned vehicles in the future.

For the safety of receiving goods that Shanghai citizens are worried about, Wang Wenbo introduced the whole process of epidemic prevention and control in JD. He pointed out that JD has established a complete set of epidemic prevention mechanism covering the whole supply chain logistics links such as warehousing, sorting, transportation and distribution. All incoming and outgoing vehicles are checked by a specially assigned person with two yards and one report. All vehicles and goods are strictly eliminated and all staff are well protected. "Like our express brothers, they have to work with nucleic acid negative certificates, and they do antigen testing every day." For the allocation of materials for people's livelihood in other places, the mode of "whole process closed-loop access" is adopted to achieve "special personnel and special vehicles" to ensure the safety and reliability of all kinds of materials sent to Shanghai.

JD group expressed its deep gratitude to relevant government departments for their guidance and support! I believe that with your joint efforts, Shanghai will overcome difficulties as soon as possible and Shanghai will be safe!
