On April 8, Sungrow Power Supply Co.Ltd(300274) jointly with the Nature Conservation Association (TNC), launched the 500 mu “sunshine forest” planting ecological project in Sichuan Giant Panda National Park to jointly help rebuild the life corridor and ecological restoration of wild animals such as small populations of giant pandas.
Due to disasters such as earthquake, landslide and debris flow, the ecological environment of wild giant panda habitat in the park is seriously fragmented and isolated, and the survival and reproduction of small populations are in trouble. According to the project plan, Sungrow Power Supply Co.Ltd(300274) will plant 100 mu of suitable trees and edible bamboo forests in the corridor every year, recruit and train community ecological forest rangers, carry out monitoring and conservation, and calculate carbon sequestration. The project plans to build five habitat restoration sites in five years, with a total planting scale of 500 mu. It is expected to absorb about 7500 tons of CO in the next 30 years, providing a demonstration for the ecological restoration of potential habitats in 45000 mu of the area.
