According to the latest statistics released by China Automobile Industry Association on the 2nd, from January to February 2022, China’s automobile export continued to maintain rapid growth, with the export amount of complete vehicles reaching US $8.47 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.0 times. The overall export performance of new energy vehicles is strong.
Since 2021, with the outbreak of covid-19 pneumonia in the world, the strong toughness of China’s automobile industry chain has been fully reflected, and China’s automobile export market has grown rapidly in the past two years. From January to February 2022, China’s automobile export sales also performed well.
According to the import and export data of national customs automobile commodities compiled by China Automobile Industry Association, among the main export varieties of Chinese automobiles, the export volume of pure electric motor vehicles (except buses with 10 seats and above) ranks first, followed by buses, cars and trucks. Compared with the same period of last year, the export of the above four categories of models showed rapid growth, of which the growth rate of pure electric motor vehicles was the most significant.
From January to February 2022, 449000 vehicles of the above four categories were exported, accounting for 94.1% of China’s total automobile exports.
Industry experts said that under the covid-19 pneumonia epidemic, due to the problems of overseas supply chain, China’s automobile exports have risen strongly. China’s automobile exports are expected to continue to strengthen in 2022, and the competitiveness of China’s automobile industry has been greatly improved.
