On March 31, the China Insurance Industry Association held the annual working meeting of the health insurance special committee in Beijing and officially released the subject report on the standard formulation and long-term development of the commercial health insurance catalogue. The report focuses on three key research directions: first, deeply analyze the expected value of commercial insurance catalogue for health insurance and the whole medical and health system, and put forward the positioning and guiding principles for the development of commercial insurance catalogue; Second, comprehensively sort out the practical experience of China's foreign medical insurance catalogue and commercial insurance catalogue, and summarize the characteristics and shortcomings of the current exploration stage of China's commercial insurance catalogue; The third is to put forward the mode and standard development direction of China's commercial insurance catalogue in the future, form phased scheme suggestions, and provide guidance for the specific implementation of subsequent commercial insurance catalogue.
Shang Jingguo, Secretary General of the Insurance Association, said that the value of commercial health insurance in the multi-level medical security system is prominent. It is necessary to make a standardized layout in the top-level design, and it is very necessary to establish a systematic catalogue of commercial health insurance. Previously, in the guidance on further enriching the supply of life insurance products issued by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission in October 2021, it was clearly proposed to "explore the establishment of a catalogue of commercial health insurance drugs and a catalogue of diagnosis and treatment projects".
