According to the police handling the case of Tinghu branch, Mr. Chen, a citizen of Yancheng, bought two boxes of Kweichow Moutai Co.Ltd(600519) wine for 12000 yuan last October. After identification, both boxes were fake wine, so he called the police.
After receiving the alarm, Tinghu branch took several months to investigate, and finally found a dens for manufacturing and selling fake wine in Xiaochang County, Xiaogan City, Hubei Province. More than 100 boxes of fake Kweichow Moutai Co.Ltd(600519) wine were found at the scene. Zhang, who was the main suspect, explained that they purchased the materials for making fake wine mainly through QQ group, including empty bottles, caps, trademarks, and anti-counterfeiting labels. Then, the Baijiu flavor liquor with a cost of about 20 yuan was added into it. Each bottle of fake wine costs only tens of yuan, and the terminal price is as high as thousands of yuan.
In the crime chain of selling and selling fake liquor, Yancheng police finally arrested 9 suspect. At present, all 9 suspect have been taken criminal coercive measures according to law, 2 of them are arrested for being suspected of counterfeiting registered trademarks, and have been arrested by the people's Procuratorate of Ting Lake District of Yancheng City.
One of the 9 suspect was a courier. According to the police handling the case, the courier knew that the other party sold fake wine and helped deliver it. From September 1, 2021 to the end of December 2021, the courier alone helped Zhang send 250 cases of fake Kweichow Moutai Co.Ltd(600519) wine, which was mainly sold to Jilin, Liaoning, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Jiangsu and other places.
The police handling the case also introduced that in addition to making and selling fake Kweichow Moutai Co.Ltd(600519) liquor, the fake "sea blue" and "sky blue" were also made and sold.
