The reporter learned from Petrochina Company Limited(601857) Tarim Oilfield a few days ago: as of March 14, through the west to east gas transmission project, Tarim Oilfield has supplied more than 300 billion cubic meters of gas to central and eastern China, equivalent to 1.5 times the total national natural gas production in 2021. Especially during the supply period from last winter to this spring, the daily natural gas production of Tarim Oilfield has reached a new high, maintaining a high level of 100 million cubic meters.
It is reported that 300 billion cubic meters of natural gas is equivalent to replacing 400 million tons of standard coal and reducing 426 million tons of carbon dioxide, benefiting about 400 million residents in 15 provinces.
As one of the main gas sources of the west to east gas transmission project, Tarim Oilfield has been advancing towards ultra-deep and complex fields, challenging world-class exploration and development problems such as ultra-deep, ultra-high temperature and ultra-high pressure, making every effort to improve the capacity of natural gas supply, and comprehensively build an atmospheric area of 30 billion cubic meters. In 2021, the output equivalent of oil and gas reached 31.82 million tons, including 31.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas, an increase of more than one million tons for five consecutive years. While fully ensuring the west to east gas transmission, Tarim Oilfield has accelerated the “west to west gas utilization” and driven the local economic and social development.
