On March 18, Huatai Insurance Group released the announcement of changing shareholders’ information disclosure. According to the announcement, nine shareholders, including Inner Mongolia Junzheng Energy & Chemical Group Co.Ltd(601216) (and its subsidiary Junzheng chemical), Chongqing gravel, Tianfeng Tianrui, Longjing industry, Humanwell Healthcare (Group) Co.Ltd(600079) , Wuhan contemporary and Zhejiang foster, intend to transfer their equity, with a total transfer proportion of 27.6%. The transferee of equity is anda North America Insurance holding company. These equity transactions have yet to be approved by the CBRC.
Anda North America is one of the four foreign-funded “anda series” companies holding shares in Huatai Insurance Group. If the above transfers are approved, anda series will hold more than 70% of Huatai Insurance. At that time, Huatai Insurance Group will become a foreign holding insurance group.
