The first mass production vehicle of Jidu will be equipped with NVIDIA system level chip, which is expected to be launched next year

Beijing News shell finance news (reporter promised) on January 6, Beijing time, during the 2022 American Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Baidu and Jidu jointly announced that Jidu's first mass production model will be equipped with NVIDIA (NVIDIA) drive Orin SOC (system level chip). The model is expected to be launched in 2023 and will become a "car Siasun Robot&Automation Co.Ltd(300024) " with L4 automatic driving capability. At the same time, the concept car of the product is expected to be officially unveiled at the Beijing auto show in April this year.

In terms of specific cooperation methods, the hardware and computing power of Jidu intelligent driving system are provided by Baidu automatic driving computing platform and NVIDIA drive origin, and the software and algorithm are jointly developed by Jidu and Baidu.

It is understood that NVIDIA drive Orin is a SoC chip specially designed for software defined vehicles, which can realize the continuous upgrading of automatic driving capability in the whole life cycle of vehicles through OTA software update. It can realize the computing performance of 254 tops and provide computing support for automatic driving function, confidence view, digital cluster, on-board information entertainment and the interaction between passengers and AI. Drive Orin plans to launch mass production models for carmakers and truck manufacturers later this year.

Xia Yiping, CEO of Jidu, revealed that since its establishment for more than half a year, Jidu has begun to carry out mass production software R & D and verification based on software integrated analog sample vehicles, and carry out pre development of digital intelligent cockpit and intelligent driving functions. By the end of 2021, the simulated sample vehicle has realized intelligent driving accommodation in urban area and high-speed area. "In 2023, Jidu's first mass production product will certainly become a benchmark for smart cars." Xia Yiping said.
