Hu Yuankun, Secretary of Meishan municipal Party committee, reported the centralized construction of Meishan project to the main venue of the province and announced the commencement of the project.
Hu Yuankun, Secretary of Meishan municipal Party committee, said that 2022 is the “breakthrough year for manufacturing a strong city” determined by Meishan municipal Party committee. Meishan will focus on green and low-carbon advantageous industries such as lithium battery materials, issue a series of supporting policies, create a first-class business environment, concentrate on introducing a number of leading enterprises with strong supporting effect and driving effect, and accelerate the agglomeration development. On the premise of doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, safe production and environmental protection, promote the early completion and operation of the project.
Meanwhile, Huang xiuhang, vice mayor of Meishan City and Secretary of Pengshan district Party committee, said that Shanshan’s 200000 ton lithium battery cathode material integration base project is the first 10 billion yuan industrial project in Pengshan and a leading project in Pengshan lithium battery industry. Five months from the signing of the contract to the commencement of construction, the project has created “Sichuan speed” and “the only one in the province” in terms of land approval and energy review and approval. Pengshan is accelerating on the track of lithium battery industry.
Zheng Yonggang, chairman of the board of directors of Shanshan holdings, also mentioned that with the country’s comprehensive promotion of the “carbon peak and carbon neutralization” strategy, the new energy industry has become an important force to achieve the national dual carbon goal and promote energy transformation. In order to actively respond to the rapid development of the new energy lithium-ion battery industry, Shanshan, relying on years of technology accumulation and scale advantages, has advanced the layout of the integrated base of lithium battery cathode materials with an annual output of 200000 tons, seized the “double carbon” opportunity and worked hard to improve its global competitiveness.
Zheng Yonggang also said that Meishan project is the first lithium battery cathode material integration base of Shanshan in Southwest China, and has reached the industry-leading level in investment intensity, capacity scale and process technology. Since its preparation, the project has been highly valued and strongly supported by Meishan City and Pengshan district.
