China’s first large aero tire dynamics device will be tested before the Spring Festival

The reporter learned from the western (Chongqing) Science City on the 4th that one of China’s first large sets of aviation tire dynamics devices – aviation tire high acceleration test bench has entered the final installation and commissioning stage, and it is planned to start the first test before the Spring Festival. After the completion of the test-bed, it will help solve the “neck sticking” problem in China’s aviation field.

At present, in the global tire industry, although China is a large country in production and marketing, the field of high-end aviation tires has been in a “neck” state for a long time, and most aviation tires rely on foreign imports. The safe take-off and landing of aircraft must rely on various unique functions of tires, and its R & D and manufacturing is also one of the key technologies for China to tackle key problems.

The high acceleration electric towing system developed with the participation of the Industrial Technology Research Institute of Chongqing University is the core equipment of the large aircraft tire dynamics device. It is located in the core area of the western (Chongqing) Science City. It is mainly used to simulate the take-off, landing, taxiing and other working conditions of shipborne aircraft and large passenger aircraft, and to test the dynamic characteristics of aircraft tires under large load and high acceleration.

It is understood that the aviation tire dynamics device will cover various performance tests of aviation tires of large civil aviation aircraft. Facing the experimental requirements of various aviation components such as aviation tires, aviation rims, braking systems and landing gear systems, the aviation tire high acceleration dynamics test bench, aviation tire friction and wear dynamics test bench, aviation tire shimmy dynamics test bench A large-scale basic scientific research test device suitable for the comprehensive performance evaluation and verification of professional aviation tires is established.

“At present, China’s aviation industry needs to crack two key links of ‘neck sticking’. The first is the basic materials for aviation tires, and the second is to solve the problem that China’s civil aviation tires do not have independent airworthiness standards.” Yu Jin, an associate professor of the Industrial Technology Research Institute of Chongqing University, said, “the large aircraft tire dynamics device we participated in can complete the mastery of the instantaneous situation of aircraft tire touchdown in just a few seconds after completion, so as to evaluate the reliability of aircraft tire and establish the premise and technical guarantee for China to obtain independent airworthiness standards.”
