The first rice planthopper resistant variety was bred. Weiliangyou 7713, a super hybrid medium rice variety approved by the state, is the first high-quality rice planthopper resistant variety of the company. In 2021, the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas organized experts to conduct yield measurement and acceptance of 100 mu of super rice. The average yield of weiliangyou 7713 per mu reached 1083.6kg, and no rice planthopper harm was found.
The variety resources of high-grade and high-quality rice plate have been enriched. Longkezao 1, the first national second-class high-quality conventional rice, and high-grade high-quality hybrid rice Zhenliang youyuzhan, Longjing youtizhan, yueliangyou 8549 and Wuliang youyuzhan passed the examination and approval.
The proportion of parental materials independently selected by the company has increased, and the level of self-control of provenance has been continuously improved. According to statistics, among the varieties approved this time, the proportion of male sterile lines (female parents) with completely independent intellectual property rights of the company reached 86%, and the proportion of restorer lines (male parents) reached 74%. Among them, Huawei 338s, Longzhen 36s, Zhuzhu s, Zhenxiang s, Huajie 912s, Longfeng 18a, Jingyuan 42a and other fully independently selected male sterile lines, as well as a series of new varieties matched with completely independently selected restorer lines such as Huahui 8612, Huahui 5438, Yuzhan, Taisi, Huahui 7713, Huahui 8549 and tizhan, further improved disease and insect resistance, stress resistance, rice quality Grain type and taste.
The product types of new varieties cover more than 90% of the corn planting areas in China. The company strengthens the variety advantages of main production areas to meet the market demand of different corn ecological areas. In terms of approved areas, there are 3 extremely early maturing in the north, 2 early maturing in the north, 4 middle early maturing in the north of Donghua, 9 middle early maturing in the north of Donghua, 6 middle late maturing in the north of Donghua, 2 spring in the northwest, 11 summer sowing in the Huanghuaihai, 2 summer sowing silage corn in the Huanghuaihai, 1 summer sowing grain machine harvest in the Huanghuaihai, 9 low and medium altitude in the southwest, 6 medium and high altitude in the southwest, 1 spring in the southwest, 2 tropical and subtropical zones 1 fresh sweet corn in North China (donghuabei). In addition, Lianchuang 607 and Xuntian 816 showed excellent drought and waterlogging tolerance, grain quality and high yield; New varieties such as lpa608, Tengsheng 970 and Longping 381 have the advantages of early maturity, resistance to dense planting and suitable for mechanized grain harvest.
Genetically modified corn product line is further enriched. Under the guidance of relevant policies and standards such as the national measures for the safety management of agricultural genetically modified organisms, the company’s current market leading maize varieties Yufeng 303 have completed various preparations for the industrialization of biological breeding, and the newly approved varieties Huimin 207, Huawan 763 and Longping 938 have also completed sexual backcross and transfer.
