Recently, a piece of news about the administrative punishment of Hengda Haihua island was widely spread on the Internet.

Specifically, on December 30, 2021, Hainan Danzhou Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau issued a punishment decision, requiring Danzhou Xinheng Tourism Development Co., Ltd. to dismantle the phase III (VI) project of Haihua Island 2 within 10 days, building 39 buildings with a total construction area of 430000 square meters.

According to the above punishment decision, there are two main reasons for the demolition: first, the planning permit illegally obtained has been revoked. Second, the project violates the provisions of Article 40 of the urban and rural planning law of the people’s Republic of China. If the demolition is not carried out within the time limit, the law enforcement bureau will organize the demolition according to law.
