Under the witness of nurur Islam Sujan, Minister of Railways of Bangladesh, CRRC Shandong locomotive and rolling stock Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CRRC Shandong company”) and Bangladesh Railway Corporation signed a procurement contract for 580 railway wagons in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on the 28th.
The contract is a sub project under Bangladesh railway vehicle operation improvement project (railway vehicle procurement), which is jointly financed by ADB and Bangladesh government.
According to the planning of Bangladesh government, the railway freight cars purchased this time are used to transport national grain, chemical fertilizer, cement and other materials, which will contribute to Bangladesh’s national economic income and national economic prosperity.
According to the Chinese side, after the contract is signed, CRRC Shandong company will start the design and development work according to the optimal configuration of global railway wagon technology in combination with the local climate characteristics of high temperature, high humidity and high salt, as well as the operation characteristics of small turning radius and high start and stop frequency, so as to achieve the multiple objectives of high reliability, high safety, lightweight, long life cycle and low maintenance cost, Meet customer needs. CRRC Shandong company will complete the order delivery as soon as possible.
