On the 11th, the signing ceremony of Gui’an Midea cloud project was held in Guiyang. The project will support the computing power needs of digital Midea in the next 10 years.
Data and computing power are becoming factors of production like water and electricity. With the comprehensive and continuous penetration of digital technology in Midea Group Co.Ltd(000333) various fields, the demand for computing power is very urgent. Midea said that Guizhou is the National Computing hub node of “counting from the east to the west”. It has a safe, reliable, stable and mature environment, the country’s largest financial data industry chain, server industry chain and three major operator network resources. After many investigations, it settled here.
According to the agreement, Guian Midea cloud project is located in Machang science and technology new town, Gui’an new area, Guiyang, at the junction of Qianzhong Avenue, Pingyan road and Xingkai road. The total land area of the project is 133 mu, focusing on the construction of high-standard data center and Midea Guizhou software center. The total investment in five years is about 1.355 billion yuan, and the total planning rack of the data center will exceed 10000 in ten years.
For the project, Fang Hongbo, chairman and President of Midea Group Co.Ltd(000333) predicted that upgrading digital basic services is one of the eight key directions of the State Council’s 145 digit economic development plan, and “digital intelligence drive” is one of Midea Group Co.Ltd(000333) ‘s four strategic paths. Midea will continue to increase digital investment and build a digital Midea Group Co.Ltd(000333) . Gui’an Midea cloud project will further introduce software R & D center and develop innovative businesses such as manufacturing cloud services in combination with the advantages of complete supporting facilities of Guizhou data industry.
