In addition, hydrogen production, storage, transportation and application technology have also become the focus of attention. Zhang Tianren said that compared with developed countries, some technologies in China are not perfect, and the development of key technologies and equipment of hydrogen energy and fuel cell lags behind. Based on this, it is suggested to encourage and guide enterprises to strengthen technological innovation. Specifically, we can sort out the list of key core technologies, support leading enterprises and technological innovation enterprises to tackle key problems, guide industries, enterprises and scientific research institutes to jointly tackle key problems, share technological resources and break through key common technologies through the way of “showing leadership”.

“From the perspective of carbon emission requirements, the purity of hydrogen production from electrolytic water can be as high as 99%, and the impurities produced are water and oxygen, which is in line with China’s clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy policy and strategic direction.” Ji Yongqiang believes that hydrogen production from renewable energy such as photovoltaic and wind power should become the main direction of hydrogen production in the future.
