Excavator sales fell year-on-year for 10 consecutive months

According to the data released by China Construction Machinery Industry Association on March 8, according to the statistics of 26 excavator manufacturers, 24500 excavators were sold in February 2022, a year-on-year decrease of 13.5%. This is the year-on-year decline in excavator sales for 10 consecutive months, but the decline is 6.9 percentage points narrower than that of the previous month. On a month on month basis, the sales volume in February this year increased by 57.1% compared with that in January. Among them, the sales volume of excavators in China in February was 17000, a year-on-year decrease of 30.5%. This is the year-on-year decline in China’s sales for 11 consecutive months, with the decline narrowed by about 18 percentage points compared with the previous month. Export sales continued to improve. In February, 7431 excavators were exported, with a year-on-year increase of 97.7%.
