This is the first transformation project in the central urban area of Dongguan where a single subject is listed for investment, and it is planned to build a new digital industry base.
It is understood that the mulberry garden renewal unit is located in the north of Dongcheng Street (the intersection of Huancheng Road and Puyuan Road), with an area of 15.44 hectares and a demolition area of 12.25 hectares. The total construction area within the demolition area is 166500 square meters. The current situation is mainly multi-storey old industrial plants, old office buildings and old dormitory buildings, which have been completed and used since 1987. In the early stage, it mainly produced low-end industries such as plastic toys, papermaking, printing and handbags.
At present, most of the plants are idle, the economic value of the property is low, and the surrounding roads are narrow, unsystematic, and lack of relevant supporting facilities, which is difficult to meet the needs of modern industrial development.
Update the project status of the unit
According to the plan, the mulberry garden renewal unit will focus on demolition and transformation, and renovate and activate some surrounding facilities. After the transformation, it is mainly planned to be new industry + Commercial Office (M0 + C2) and supporting residential use (R0). The construction area of new industry is 318800 square meters, the construction area of commercial office is 37800 square meters, the construction area of supporting residential is 88000 square meters, and the maximum total construction amount is 444600 square meters.
In addition, the renewal unit is equipped with a bus terminal with a construction area of 3025 square meters, and widens and opens up Huancheng East Road, Puyuan West Road, Fukang road and Zhenxing East Road, totaling 18412 square meters.
